The Chef

David Brazeel

David has been cooking for most of his life. Self-taught, he's been a full-time private chef for eight years — bringing restaurant-caliber dinners straight into your home, right here in Napa Valley.

His roots run through Southern cuisine, instilled in him as a child by his grandmother and mother back in his home state of Alabama. David loves nothing more than making people happy with food — the biggest reward is watching a table eat until they have to stop.

Sissy Ash

Sous Chef Sissy Ash assists Chef David as his right hand — and taught him much of what he knows. She's also his mom, in case that wasn't obvious.

Sissy is a skilled chef in her own right and masterfully creates wonderful food alongside David. Desserts are her specialty, but she can do it all. If David is ever booked and something comes up, Sissy can easily step in — she knows every one of his tricks, tips, and measurements.

What to Expect

Every quote covers groceries, prep, service, and clean-up — a full evening, taken care of.

$140–$155 per person, on average — final price depends on menu selection
$1,000 Minimum to reserve a date
  • Tax & service: An 8% tax and 20% service fee apply after tax for all parties — gratuity not included.
  • Guest count: Can be changed without penalty more than two weeks out. Inside two weeks, the agreed total stands. If a guest backs out, their portion is prepared and given to you for later.
  • No deposit required: Once you decide to book, a service agreement is sent by email for you to fill out and return.
  • Access: You're responsible for making sure Chef David has your address and any gate, door codes, or keys needed to get in.
  • Timing: Arrival is typically 2–3pm for dinner served at 6:30–7:30, unless otherwise discussed.
  • Extras: Non-menu items may result in an upcharge, and holidays carry an additional charge.
